Bageswari Temple on the top of in the center of Bongaigaon town. The Bhageswari Hill houses acients Shiva temple within a stone cave flanked either side by another 2 temples mostly temple of Bhageswari and Baba Tarak Nath. According to Hindu mythology,This the great place where in ”Devi Durga’s” Trishul(weapon) fell down when her body was cut into pieces by God Vishnu,just after ‘Dakhshya Yagya(ritual ceremony organised by Durga’s father)’.

The place is well connected by Rail. It is around 1km from the Bongaigaon railway station and the station is 175 KM away from Guwahati Railway station.
